Marathon work weekend planned for US 95 in Southeast Valley

Drivers can expect traffic issues on US 95/I-515 through Las Vegas’ southeast valley this weekend.

The Nevada Department of Transportation says they will be undertaking marathon work starting Friday evening through Monday morning.

Northbound traffic will be one lane only between Sunset Road and the Galleria Drive overpass in Henderson, and the southbound side will be one lane between Flamingo Road and Tropicana Avenue.

The Sunset Road ramp to northbound US 95 will also be closed.

People are asked to consider alternative routes or expect significant delays along this corridor during peak hours.

Crews will be working on surface repairs on several sections of the highway between Sunset and Flamingo.

It’s a popular weekend for road construction. That will be the case significant closures and lane reductions on the Strip for Clark County’s Las Vegas Boulevard Improvement Project.
