Mad Science shares home experiments for kids on the porch

Daylight saving time is here and coming up with new fun activities to do with your kids can be a challenge, but luckily Mad Science of Central Oklahoma has an idea.

Derick Brock, the mad scientist at Mad Science, joined News 9 at the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to share a fun experiment that families can do at home.

Using a pitcher of hot water and a can of soda, Mad Science demonstrated the relationship between temperature and the pressure of heat.

“If you want to do this at home, make sure you have a parent or responsible adult,” Brock said.

Mad Science of Central Oklahoma also hosts a series of summer camps in which children are invited to participate in more science experiments.

‘We still have many places available for our summer camp registrations there. Everything from things like weather, for kindergarten through fifth grade,” Brock said.
