Sununu asks for federal help after storms

Governor Sununu is asking the federal government for help covering costs related to the severe weather that hit the state earlier this year.

Sununu has sent a letter to President Biden requesting a major disaster declaration for Rockingham, Strafford, Sullivan, Merrimack, Grafton, Coos, Carroll and Belknap counties.

That would give those counties the resources needed to repair the more than $6 million in damage caused by April’s storms.

One death was related to those storms.
