Periods of rain and some cooler temperatures to start the week – Duluth News Tribune

Sunday will start off dry and mostly sunny, with temperatures rising toward the 70s. However, easterly winds from the lake may try to hinder that for lakeside spots. Otherwise, we will see showers and a few thunderstorms from the west towards the later hours, arriving in the Duluth area mainly during the overnight hours. A few of the storms may be on the stronger side for a short time.

Showers will continue into Monday morning, with drier weather into the later hours, although much of the cloud will persist throughout the day. Highs will cool to the mid 60s.

More scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible again on Tuesday, with highs hovering between the 60s and 70s throughout the week.

Growing up in southern Wisconsin, my love for all things weather began at the age of 5, fascinated by storms that roll in in the summer and snowstorms that blow by in the winter. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in May 2023, after also working with the university’s unique Innovative Weather operational forecasting program from 2021 through 2024. I moved to Fargo to start here at WDAY in May 2024.
