Armed with campaign literature and a candidate-recruiting app that displays the names and addresses of voters who consistently cast ballots in the primaries, Marco Serna walked happily last week as he went door to door in Santa Fe’s Bellamah neighborhood.

After exchanging a few pleasantries with potential voters, the former prosecutor quickly launched into what he calls his elevator speech, an overview of why he’s running again for the high-profile position, before asking for their support.

“We are in the final stages,” Serna told 82-year-old Patricia Garcia, who told him she had already voted for him and encouraged her family to do the same ahead of Tuesday’s election.
