3 Casper College Rodeo athletes qualify for the national finals in Casper

CASPER, Wyo. – Casper College Rodeo Team members Talon Elshere, Chase Siemens and James Perrin have qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo June 9-15 at the Ford Wyoming Center, 1 Events Drive.

Visit Casper has contracted with the three Casper College Rodeo athletes to promote and celebrate the CNFR’s 25th year in Casper.

β€œIt has been a tough season for these athletes, but we are happy to see a number of athletes qualify for the CNFR,” said Visit Casper.

The hope is to promote the Casper College Rodeo program, the Visit Casper brand and the 25th anniversary through the social platforms and reach of the three qualifiers, Visit Casper CEO Tyler Daugherty wrote in a May report to the Natrona County Travel and Tourism Council.

Meet the three sponsored CNFR qualifiers:

Elshere, the Central Rocky Mountain Region champion for saddle bronc riding, is a sophomore majoring in agronomy. He is originally from Hereford, South Dakota.

Siemens is from British Columbia, Canada. He is the reserve bareback champion for the Central Rocky Mountain Region, a two-time qualifier for the Canadian finals and the novice 2023 Canadian bareback champion. The Casper College freshman is studying agricultural sciences.
