Caitlin Clark’s struggles disappoint fans as the fever is driven out by Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu

It’s clear that Caitlin Clark has a promising future in the WNBA, but it wasn’t her night on Sunday as the Indiana Fever fell to the New York Liberty 104-68.

The former Iowa star and No. 1 overall pick had just three points in the loss — her lowest score in 11 games this season. The rookie couldn’t find the bottom of the net in the loss, going 1-for-10 from the field and 1-for-7 from deep.

After the game, fans lamented Clark’s poor performance against a star-studded Liberty squad.

It’s worth noting that Clark left the game early while dealing with an apparent ear injury, according to Fieldhouse Files. Scott Agnes reported, so that could have led to some of her struggles.

While Sunday’s game was one to forget for Clark, she is still off to a solid start this year, averaging 16.9 points, 6.5 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game. Earlier this week, she scored a career-high 30 points against the Los Angeles Sparks.

The loss dropped the Fever to 2-9 on the year, but will now get a five-day break before playing in another game.
