Arno Moeller obituary – PA

Arno L. Moeller, 68, of Lacey Street, Laceyville, Wyoming County, formerly of Ridgewood, NJ and Bushkill Township, died June 30 at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock, Wyoming County. He was married to Paula (Darden) Moeller for 42 years. After retiring as interline sales manager for Northwest Airlines, Manhattan, he opened Welcome Aboard Travel Agencies and founded Trans Travel and Tours and Simba Safaris. He then started Travel Marketing Systems and served as a travel consultant for 35 years, most recently as general sales manager in the United States for Via Rail-Canada. Born in Davenport, Iowa, he was a son of the late Ferdinand A. and Leona (Coopmans) Moeller. He served in the Naval Reserve. He was a member of Rought Hall Post 510 American Legion, Black Walnut, Wyoming County. He was active in Little League for 15 years and helped form the Nazareth YMCA basketball league; coached football for the Upper Nazareth Clippers and coached baseball for the American and National Leagues. He was a former member of the Nazareth School Board. He was a founder of the SKAL Club in Buffalo, NY, and past president of the Philadelphia SKAL Club and Eastern Travel Association. Survivors: female; sons, Michael of Holiday, Florida, Matthew of Nazareth; daughter, Denise Dalicandro of Crystal Lake, Ill.; a grandson.
