1 injured in possible tornado in Sanderson, Texas, official says – KVNU

At least one person was injured when a possible tornado hit Sanderson, Texas, police said.

A U.S. Border Patrol agent suffered critical but non-life-threatening injuries when the apparent tornado directly struck his home, Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland said in a statement.

“Please keep him and his family in your prayers,” Cleveland said.

He said several homes were destroyed when the apparent tornado ripped through the area in Terrell County Sunday afternoon.

“At this time, we have deployed sufficient resources to the area and do not require additional assistance,” Cleveland said. “All roads are clear of debris and everyone is responsible.”
