New York Giants expect TE Darren Waller to retire from the NFL, report says

The New York Giants have been waiting all season for Darren Waller’s decision on whether he wants to continue playing in the NFL.

With the final week of OTAs wrapping up this week, followed by mandatory minicamp, which begins June 11, the Giants are reportedly expecting Waller to retire, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan and Adam Schefter.

The Giants have been giving Waller his space all offseason. The training was voluntary, so he didn’t have to show a face. However, minicamp is a different story as it is mandatory.

The Giants would save $11.6 million on the salary cap if Waller retires or is released by the team.
