Salve Baseball Team Advances in College World Series with Weekend Win – SALVEtoday

The Seahawks posted a 2-0 victory over the University of Wisconsin Whitewater Warhawks on Saturday, keeping their season alive as they played for a spot in the Division III College World Series finals on Wednesday, June 5.

All-American pitcher Sean Mulligan ’24 shut out the Warhawks, while Salve Regina loaded the bases offensively in the second inning on a one-out walk by current graduate student Tyler Cannoe ’23 and consecutive singles by graduate student Hunter Yaworski and Wil McCarthy ’23. With two outs, Michael Breen, ’24, hit an 0-1 pitch through the right side and scored the only runs of the game.
