The European School of Esthetics (ESE) Programs in Esthetics, Electrolysis, Skin Care, and Nail Technician provides participants the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the tools and techniques necessary to become a successful licensed professional in today’s industry. The experiential environment at ESE supports aspiring estheticians as they practice and perfect their hands-on skills.
This program will prepare students for the ever changing industry of Esthetics, whether pursuing a career at a spa/salon or establishing a spa/salon within the field. Completion of this program will provide skills in various treatment techniques with sufficient knowledge of biochemistry, anatomy and theory to implement esthetic treatments and advise industry consumers. The program will stress manipulative skills and the theory to understand the operations of the esthetic industry. Topics include: manicure, pedicure, make-up application, body waxing, spa body treatments and body massage, product knowledge, marketing, equipment knowledge, chemistry applications and business management.
Once a student graduates from one of the programs mentioned, they could be employed in beauty salons, electrolysis studios, scalp treatment and hair replacement clinics and other similar establishments and in cosmetic departments of retail establishments such as pharmacies and department stores, or they may be self-employed.
Apprenticeship for electrologists, estheticians and nail technicians is available in Manitoba. Trade certification for these occupations is compulsory in Manitoba.
